Objectives: This study's aim is to find a method that can be applied to domestic couple therapy through the introduction of a neuroscientific perspective and to derive implications.
Methods: For this study, previous studies were analyzed through exhaustive literature review.
Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, the introduction of neuroscientific psychotherapy has been the focus of recent attention, which plays a bridging role with the introduction of neuroscience in couple therapy. Second, neuroscientific couple therapy is effective in dealing with the conflict problems of couples. Third, the vulnerability cycle model can provide a specific approach strategy to the couple therapy process by addressing the impasse where vulnerability and survival strategies of couples are circulated. Fourth, the vulnerability cycle model demonstrates the possibility of being used in the field by combining this model with various theoretical models of existing family therapy.
Conclusions: This study is meaningful in that the introduction of a neuroscientific perspective in couple therapy can not only contribute to extending the applications of couple therapy, but also support improved efficiency in client treatment interventions.
